About Me

 Hi! Welcome to Ms. Marquet's Kitchen! My name is Gillian and this is my little family minus two dogs and some chickens! I am a Christian, Mommy, Wife, and Baker. We live in the country and love growing our own produce, exploring outside, hiking, golfing, and hosting parties!!

My love for baking and cooking
started in High School when I wanted to express my Love to those close to me. I baked something new for almost every basketball game my boyfriend in high school had. I loved making lunches and dinner for my Dad and brother. And I created a few Rice Krispie cake towers, made from all kinds of fun cereals! I knew back then I wanted to have something called Ms. Marquet's Kitchen or Bakery!

I won my husband over by bringing him Chocolate chip cookies.  My husband is my ultimate taste tester and never complains about anything I bake or cook. He always gets asked by his patients why he is not 300 pounds well, we do eat healthy, workout, and everything in moderation! My mother is a wonderful cook, we were blessed with delicious home cooked meals our entire upbringing. She made wonderful pies and always hosted great parties! I may not have been too interested in the kitchen growing up, but her love for the kitchen rubbed off on me!

I have a bad habit of organizing. I just love it, if you leave me alone in a pantry that I cant think straight in and I have an hour you may come back to labels and well a beautiful cleaned pantry with everything lined up! I am OCD like that. I would clean my dear friends bedroom for her in grade school while she was at dance class. I loved it, I am pretty sure she loved it, we still laugh about it today! I hope to share some of my tips and tricks to help you get and stay organized!!
